LG Electronics reported consolidated revenue of KRW 23.83 trillion and operating profit of KRW 1.58 trillion for the second quarter of 2026, announced in Seoul on July 30, 2026. Both figures represent the company’s highest second-quarter results to date, with revenue up 14.9% and operating profit up 147% year-over-year.
The company attributed the results to continued growth in its home appliance business despite macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty, along with contributions from its vehicle solutions business and a boost linked to “major sporting events.”

LG stated that high-margin products accounted for a larger proportion of total sales during the quarter, supported by cost efficiency measures across global operations and emergency management steps taken in response to market uncertainty. The company also recognised a one-time gain from tariff refunds (as a result of SCOTUS’ decision) on duties previously paid for exports to the United States.
Business-to-business (B2B) revenue reached KRW 6.50 trillion, up 5% year-over-year, representing 36% of total company revenue; the subscription business, covering products and services, recorded revenue of KRW 660 billion, up 5% year-over-year. The Home Appliance Solution (HS) Company reported revenue of KRW 7.08 trillion and operating profit of KRW 686 billion, marking the first time quarterly revenue exceeded KRW 7 trillion. Operating margin approached 10% for a second consecutive quarter.
The company attributed this to a dual-track strategy targeting both premium and volume segments, along with cost and supply chain optimization and the tariff refund effect. For the third quarter, LG said it plans to focus on markets in the Global South and begin full-scale operations of its robot actuator business, while anticipating a short-term slowdown in demand.
The Media Entertainment Solution (MS) Company recorded revenue of KRW 5.11 trillion and operating profit of KRW 219 billion, supported by premium TV sales, including OLED and QNED models, growth in the Global South and its webOS platform business. The Vehicle Solution (VS) Company achieved revenue of KRW 3.03 trillion and operating profit of KRW 191 billion, marking second-quarter highs for both metrics, with revenue exceeding KRW 3 trillion and operating margin exceeding 6% for a second consecutive quarter.
The Eco Solution (ES) Company recorded revenue of KRW 2.73 trillion and operating profit of KRW 236 billion, with an operating margin of 8.6%, driven by expanded overseas air conditioner sales. LG stated its HVAC business will continue investing in AI data center (AIDC) cooling solutions, including its in-house-developed Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU).
Pokdepinion: Overall, small growth across the board, though the huge profit figure looks rather surprising.
