We get a glimpse of the main menu screen in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Interestingly, Nintendo censored one of the game modes in the menu.

We have several interesting announcements at Nintendo Direct with regards to the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate but the fun doesn’t stop there. Game Director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed the main menu for the game and also teased about a new, unannounced game mode.

Upon revealing a slate of new characters like Simon Belmont and King K. Rool, details about stages, and furthering unveiling new Pokemon and Assist Trophies, Sakurai also showcased the main menu of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While this alone isn’t exactly something to be excited about, one major tease was provided upon the menu’s reveal.

In addition to the usual slate of Smash, Online, and additional bonus game mode options at your disposal in the menu, one noticeably large selection was still hidden. Sakurai teased that whatever is hidden behind this panel is not ready to be revealed just yet and that they’ll talk about it in the near future.

What could this hidden game mode be? Well, this is purely speculation so do take this information with a grain of salt but I have a feeling it’s a solo campaign mode, much like Subspace Emissary in Brawl and the Adventure Mode in Melee. While it is possible it could be something else, I’m about pretty sure this would be the case. We are expected to know more about this very soon.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate will release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on 7th December 2018.

Pokdepinion: Please let there be a new adventure-type mode with a storyline. I legit enjoyed Subspace Emissary and would like something like but including every single character in the game.
