Great news, TM is NOT going out of business!
This may come as a big surprise to you but contrary to popular belief, TM does not own the building where it is currently located at.
Why is Menara TM Up For Sale?
Telekom Malaysia Sdn Bhd has issued a statement, stating that they were a tenant of Menara TM, located at Jalan Pantai Baharu, Kuala Lumpur. Following a property ad by Menara TM, it is easy to confuse the two as they both have the same name. However, the telco does not own the building and neither is the telco involved with its intended sale of the building by the property’s owner, Menara ABS Bhd.
The telco service is already relocating to a new location in Cyberjaya as well as the two other properties, TM Annexe 1 and Annexe 2. The move aims to include the majority of its corporate offices as part of the company’s optimization initiative to enable hybrid working conditions for its employees and staff and to greater efficiency and agility in the workplace.
You can be rest assured knowing that the telco will not be going out of business anytime soon.
