There is a good chance that Microsoft’s new Surface Pro 4 tablet will surface sometime next month. Beside the confirmed fact that it will be preloaded with the latest Windows 10 operating system, the Surface Pro 4 will reportedly land with two different versions which we will see one with a 12 inch display and the other with a 14 inch display. Microsoft still remain with intention of the Surface Pro 4 is a laptop replacement tablet since it will not feature Intel Core M processor.

Inside the next-gen Surface Pro 4 will be Intel’s latest member of the Core i series codenamed Skylake U, with low 15W thermal power design (TDP) and more powerful integrated graphic processing unit (iGPU). A faster processor must be paired with a good amount of RAM, and the Surface Pro 4 does not disappoint as it is rumored to fit about 16GB dual channel of LPDDR3. Storage wise it will rely on solid-state storage with varying capacities ranging from 125GB, 1256GB, 512GB and all the way up to 1TB of storage. Specifications wise, the Surface Pro 4 will surely surpass its predecessor greatly in term of processing speed, graphics and storage write and read performance.

Connectivity on the Surface Pro 4 is also most likely revamped to a better standard. Microsoft will be using an USB 3.1 with Type-C connector which offer speeds of up to 10Gbs. For wireless connectivity the Surface Pro 4  is said to be equipped an integrated 802.11ac/802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter. Battery life figures still remain unknown for the Surface Pro 4 but hopefully the 15W TDP Skylake U processor will sip power slowly enough for long-lasting autonomy.

Pokdepinion : Actually it’s rare to see any Malaysian using the Microsoft Surface tablet, even I have only seen the RT version once a long time ago.  Specification wise, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 really will be a kick-ass tablet. But as we know the tablet itself is not something that most people can afford.
