If you only know MSI as a manufacturer of great gaming notebooks, you have to check out these laptops. MSI has just introduced a whole series of new MSI notebooks, of which only one is from their Gaming lineup.

MSI P65 Creator

What do you think of the silver finish?

The design might seem pretty familiar, as it is essentially the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin with different finishing. The thing to note here is that there are two variants, one features a limited edition pearl white aluminium finish with gold accents, and a standard silver aluminium finish.

Silver looks great, but white looks even better!

Aside from the finishing, the two variants do have some differences in terms of specifications. The white version is actually the higher end variant, with a GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q 8GB GDDR5 GPU, while the silver variant comes with a lower end GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q 6GB GDDR5 GPU. The limited edition pearl white variant also offers better connectivity, with Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 Gen2 (10 Gbps) and HDMI 2.0 ports, while the silver variant has to settle for just Type-C USB 3.0 and HDMI 1.4 ports.

Both variants of the MSI P65 Creator weigh the same 1.88 kg, and come with a really minimal footprint thanks to the slim bezels around the display. The display runs at 144 Hz on the white variant, while the silver version settles for a 60 Hz display panel. Both laptops are equipped with 16GB of DDR4 2666 RAM and 512GB PCIe NVMe SSDs.

Pricing wise, the PS65 Creator in white comes in at RM9999, while the PS65 Creator with the silver finishing is priced at RM7799.

The MSI PS42 Modern is no stranger, and we have in fact reviewed one of the four variants introduced today. The MSI PS42 Modern is an ultra-sleek 14″ notebook with very narrow bezels around the screen. It offers a good 81% screen-to-body ratio, making for one of the most compact notebooks MSI has ever made.

Looks amazing, performs even better with Quadro!

This unconventional notebook is yet another one based on the MSI GS65’s design. Meant for professionals on the go, this is the world’s first thin bezel mobile workstation. MSI does not take the term “workstation” lightly though. Unlike the MSI P65 and MSI GS65, the MSI WS65 comes with a workstation-class GPU, the NVIDIA Quadro P3200 6GB GDDR5.

The MSI W-series logo won’t look out of place on a gaming notebook

NVIDIA Quadro graphics offer certified drivers which are optimized to work with various professional applications. This is not meant for gamers or casual users, and the price tag of this portable workstation also reflects that. Priced at RM12599, the MSI WS65 costs a pretty penny, but you do get a beautiful mobile workstation to work on.

MSI GE75 Raider

You probably wouldn’t guess that this is a 17″ notebook by just looking at it

The only gaming notebook introduced today, the MSI GE75 Raider is MSI’s first 17″ gaming notebook with slim bezels. The 17″ display features a 144 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response to allow for a no-compromise gaming experience.

Racing stripes are trendy again?

The MSI GE75 Raider can be configured with either the GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 or the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5. Both variants come with an Intel Core i7 8750H, 16GB DDR4 2666 RAM and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD and 1TB 7200rpm HDD. There’s also Killer Doubleshot PRO, promising better network connectivity.

The variant with the GeForce GTX 1070 is priced at RM9499, while the GeForce GTX 1060-equipped version is priced at RM7999.
