No More Touch ‘n Go Surcharge For Parking Facilities
Touch ‘n Go have announced that they will be removing the 10% surcharge charged at parking facilities with dual payment systems.
Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Chong Chieng Jen said that from here on all Touch ‘n Go contractors or future contractors will not have an imposed surcharge rate based on merchant discount rate. Furthermore, the surcharge rates will end in stages for the existing contracts.
The current surcharge is merely a contractual obligation between Touch ‘n Go cards and car park operators he added.
