With the recent unveiling of the OPPO F5, OPPO has announce that the new device will come with facial recognition system or usually called ‘Facial Unlock’.

OPPO F5 Facial Unlock

OPPO F5 To Come With Facial Unlock - Time To Move On From Fingerprint Sensors? 32With now the latest ‘trend’ going on with smartphones is facial recognition, OPPO has decided to join in the act and implement it in the new OPPO F5. With it, users can easily unlock their device just like how they would with their fingerprints.

Users would just need to look at the phone and the F5 will automatically detect you and unlock quickly. Despite the added feature, the usual and common way of unlocking your phone such as fingerprint sensor, password unlock, and pattern unlock is still at your disposal.

The new OPPO F5 is rumoured to have a 6″ display, powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is said to have 64GB of internal memory, paired with a 6GB RAM. The phone is speculated to have a 20MP front camera, with a dual 12MP rear camera setup. Under the hood is a non-removable 4000mAh battery. The OPPO F5 will be available in their two usual colours, Gold and Rose Gold.

Official specifications on the device will be known when it officially comes out, which is on this 2nd November 2017. We are also invited to their official launching, so stay tuned to that for more updates!

Pokdepinion: I’m sure there are people out there who would like this feature, but for me, not really into facial recognition. I would rather use the usual fingerprint unlock system. Well that’s just me. So what do you think? Are you excited for the new device, especially O-fans?
