[Predator League 2019] Dota2 and PUBG Game Rules, Scoring Matrix and Team Members
As we are approaching the first day of the Acer Predator League 2019, the game rules, scoring matrix and competing team members were announced officially. These were presented on stage during the official media Press Conference by Xyclopz who is the official commentator for Predator League 2019.
Rules and Scoring Matrix for Dota2
Dota2 has no strict pre-defined rules, the scoring matrix is rather simple but the play chart is pretty complicated. The format used will be double elimination format for 10 teams which means, some teams would play more than the others depending on the draw system. As a team loses, it will be sent into the lower part of the chart to further compete and will be playing longer.
Rules and Scoring Matrix for PUBG
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) would be having 15 matches altogether. All matches will be running in First Person Perspective (FPP) and Third Person Perspective (TPP) is not allowed altogether. The rounds will be conducted in Erangel and Miramar maps and will see the new point matrix used for grading. The scoring would be as follows:
- First Place (Chicken Dinner) = 10 points
- Second Place = 6 points
- Third Place = 5 points
- For every kill = 1 point
In the case of draw, the following grading will decide the final winner in sequence order:
- If one of the team has higher kills in total = Winner.
- If it’s a tie, the highest kill points on the last round (15th round) = Winner.
- If it’s a tie, the higher ranking in the last round (15th round) = Winner.
Apart from that, motorbikes will be removed from the map due to its explosive nature and will be replaced with other vehicles instead.
To spice things up even more, the grenade range will be intentionally increased too.
