If you have just got the realme 5i, look away now. The realme 6i which has been certified in SIRIM sometime back has just made its way to the FCC, and they seem to be pretty leaky. The realme 6i carries the codename RMX2040, and is expected to be a part of the realme 6 family along with the realme 6 and realme 6 Pro.

It looks like a pretty sleek device, albeit a very derivative one. realme will still be using their waterdrop notch up front here, and it seems like there will still be a rather substantial chin at the bottom. realme might reuse their 6.5″ HD+ display from the realme 5 series and realme C3 in the realme 6i, although I seriously hope that won’t be the case.

Design wise it doesn’t look any different from the realme 5 series, but the white color is new. realme first debuted their white finish in the new realme 5 Pro Chroma White Edition, and they might be using the same finishing here. There’s little to differentiate the devices anyway. There’s apparently a 48MP camera in the quad-camera stack in the upper left corner, which is a huge upgrade from the realme 5i.

Another upgrade that should have come a lot earlier is the USB-C port, but realme seems ready to make the wait worthwhile with the realme 6i coming with an 18W quick charger.

There’s still no mention of the chipset powering the realme 6i, not the amount of RAM and storage, but with it certified in multiple countries including our own, the realme 6i’s launch is just a matter of time.

Pokdepinion: While realme started off a bit late compared to the other brands, they are definitely catching up in terms of the number of devices they have in their stable with a constant barrage of devices in recent months.
