Redmi may have cannibalized the POCO brand
One of the saddest news I saw this week is that the POCO brand might be no more. This move was somewhat expected when the Redmi K20 Pro came around, delivering flagship specifications at an affordable price. That’s exactly what the POCOPHONE F1 did, and what the POCO brand was intended to do, so what will the POCO brand goal be now?

We were somewhat expecting the Redmi K20 Pro to be marketed as the POCO F2 in India, but that didn’t happen. Scrapping the brand after releasing only one phone does seem a bit weird, but then Xiaomi would probably not want to saturate the market with Snapdragon 855-toting smartphones for less than RM2000.
Jai Mani, has also recently changed his Twitter bio to read “ex-PM of @PocophoneGlobal”, reinforcing this rumor. So for those of you still holding on to a POCOPHONE F1, it might just become a collector’s item one day.
Pokdepinion: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, NOT POCO!!!
