ROG Phone to be priced starting from RM3499 in Malaysia? Reseller accidentally leaks pricing before launch!
We are no stranger to pricing leaks before the launch. Heck, we had it for the Intel 9th Gen processors, for the HUAWEI P20 series… But yeah, we finally see a Malaysian reseller put up the ROG Phone for RM3499, a price which makes much more sense than the RM4999 some other reseller put up for imported units of the ROG Phone.
The Facebook post to the price has since been removed though. The ROG Phone is going to launch on 22nd October here in Malaysia, a few days after its launch in New York. Apparently Malaysia will be getting the ROG Phone in two variants, the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 512GB options, priced at RM3499 and RM3999, respectively.
The ROG Phone is still the most powerful Snapdragon 845-powered smartphone that has ever been launched, with a specially binned Snapdragon 845 that runs at 2.96 GHz instead of the usual 2.8 GHz. To keep the fast chipset cool, there’s also vapor chamber cooling which is enhanced by additional AeroActive air cooling. There’s also the AirTriggers and a 90 Hz 1ms AMOLED display which affords a whopping 108.6% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Pokdepinion: It seems like the ROG Phone will indeed break the RM3000 barrier, but at least it is still more affordable than an iPhone XS…
