It would appear that the folks over at Samsung has begun sending out invites for their next major Unpacked event, which will most likely be focusing on their next big device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

The folks over at Pocket-lint mentioned that they have been invited to the event, and we’re pretty sure plenty of other big international tech sites will be there as well. The Unpacked event will be held in New York from 11AM EDT, which will be 11PM in Malaysian time (GMT+8), on 9th August 2018.

It’s important to note the time and date as the event will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person, with the live video to be hosted on their official website. There is a possibility we might have a watchalong for this year, just like last year, but either way we will be covering the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone without a doubt.

If we’re looking from their track record, we’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to be available to order in the same month, and possibly just a bit later in other regions.

Based on rumours, we might see the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 sporting a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, much like the Galaxy S9. It is also said to utilize dual rear cameras and iris scanning for security. As for the chipset, we’re expecting either the latest Samsung Exynos chip or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 powering the device, with about 6GBs of RAM.

The fingerprint sensor is expected to be at the rear. Another interesting possibility with this new smartphone is the upgraded S-Pen, which we have covered in this particular post.

Just keep in mind, nothing is considered official until Samsung officially announces it so stay tuned to Pokde.net for details as soon as information becomes available.

Pokdepinion: I’m really curious to see what they have up their sleeves for this iteration, especially in the camera department. Well, August isn’t far off anyway so we won’t have to wait for long.
