[blockquote cite=”Syafiq Hardy, Chief Marketing Officer of Terengganu FA”]We see FIFA eSports as a digital extension of our core business. Many of our marketing partners are not only looking for the possibility to advertise on the official kit or at the stadium, but also want to reach the younger target group through our online channels. Through our commitment to eSports, we are able to create and offer entirely new activation opportunities to fulfill these wishes[/blockquote]

As the team is new in the eSports scene, they will first focus on FO3 before starting to transition to other titles such as League of Legends.

Getting back to the Red Bull Coliseum, it is now currently in its second season. It’s a competitive arena for various eSports titles including FO3 with a prize pool of RM20,000. Apart from the local football club, the tournament is set to feature other big names such as Air Asia All-Stars, Team Flash, and the recently formed Fire Dragoon (FDG).

Pokdepinion: I don’t know about you but I would rather have the club focus on their real footballing job instead of this. Well I guess it’s for them to reach out to more audience, I guess.
