— Jasmine Lee, U Mobile’s Chief Marketing Officer

U Mobile has previously offered free video streaming during off peak hours for YouTube and tonton since October 2014, much to the delight of avid video streamers. U Mobile experienced a 14-fold increase in data usage for video streaming since the start of the promotion.

U Mobile partnered with 11 video content providers to bring subscribers the best video streaming experience, irregardless of interests or language. To mark the partnership, HyppTV is offering 2 months free access to U Mobile customers for their Live TV channels on the HyppTV Everywhere service. Viu is also offering 60 days premium access for free to U Mobile customers.

U Mobile’s ‘Video-Onz™’ service is available to customers who stream from any of the telco’s 11 partners’ content. This means, from today, customers who are streaming from YouTube, HyppTV Everywhere, Viu, iflix, Youku Tudou, Astro on the Go, tonton, Eros Now, Herotalkies, ONFM and Pocketimes will no longer be using their data.

Hi Bruce Lee, huge fan here! Regarding your question of using tethering to share the mobile data to your desktop, in the exact words of their Chief Marketing Officer, “you can try.”

Thanks for the compliment! For us at Pokde.net, we only award gold for the very best in the market. So to be awarded the gold award would be an honor for any brand that was successful at impressing us to that level.

Hi, what do you mean by broadband? Are you using U Mobile’s MiFi devices? We were informed the Video Onz only offers up to 480p video. Any higher resolution will be using up your existing quota.

Hi, maybe you can check whether you are watching the videos at a resolution higher than 480p. If you are and it is still using your existing quota, please contact U Mobile for further assistance, as we aren’t too sure about this issue.
