Xiaomi joining the 821 SoC bandwagon with its latest Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro
Look like it’s not only ASUS that equipped their latest ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe with the Snapdragon 821 SoC. The “Xiaomi Phone Pro” has been rumored to feature a Snapdragon 821 under the hood too. It is suggested to be the higher end version of the yet-to-announced Xiaomi Mi Note 2. It is most probably going to be launched as the Mi Note 2 Pro, following last year’s convention of a Mi Note and a Mi Note Pro.
The rumor has also mentioned that the “Xiaomi Phone Pro” will sport a 5.5-inch full HD OLED display by AUO, instead of the more common Samsung AMOLED panels. The device will come with an option of 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage.
The “Xiaomi Phone Pro” or “Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Pro” is also slated to pack a 12MP rear shooter camera, using Sony’s IMX260 or Samsung’s ISOCELL S5K2L1 sensors. The battery is rumored to be a huge 3,700 mAh one. Like the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2, the Xiaomi Phone Pro will also include the same front fingerprint scanner.
