Dyson Malaysia recently launched the PencilWash wet cleaner, in particular the slimmest and lightest of its kind from the brand. The device features a 38mm diameter handle and weighs 2.2kg in total (just 380g in hand). It lays flat to 170 degrees for cleaning under low furniture and is designed to reach along walls and skirting boards, lying flat to 15cm clearance.

The PencilWash uses a filter-free design, which Dyson states eliminates the risk of bacteria accumulation, odor emission, sludge buildup, and performance degradation associated with conventional wet cleaner filters. The machine combines hydration, agitation, and extraction technologies to ensure only fresh water is applied to floors during cleaning.

Inside the wet cleaner, Dyson PencilWash uses a high-density microfiber roller with 64,000 filaments, spinning rapidly to remove wet and dry debris simultaneously, while dirty water and debris are continuously extracted from the roller on each rotation. An 8-point hydration system delivers fresh water to the roller consistently, so previously used water does not re-enter the cleaning cycle.
Two hydration modes allow users to adjust water flow for different floor types and levels of soiling, where MAX mode handles spot cleaning and dried stains. A 300mL clean water tank supports up to 100m² of floor coverage, or approximately the size of an average condominium bedroom in Malaysia, with up to 30 minutes of runtime per fill (and per battery charge).
The Dyson PencilWash is available in Malaysia at a retail price of RM1,699 through Dyson stores and dyson.my.
