LG Electronics has launched its LG Professional Laundry lineup globally, expanding its commercial portfolio with solutions aimed at retail, industrial laundry, hospitality, and healthcare segments. The lineup debuts in Europe this month, with launches to follow in Asia and North America.

The lineup includes large-capacity washers and dryers designed for high-volume commercial use. Based on an IEC standard seven-kilogram load, the LG Professional WasherDryer can complete a full wash and dry cycle in around one hour. The all-in-one unit uses AI Weight Detection to adjust water and energy use according to load size, while a Dual Inverter HeatPump enables low-temperature drying. Its ductless design removes the need for ductwork installation and maintenance.
These models also feature LG’s Dynamic Ball-Core System, which uses a gyro sensor to detect drum imbalances in real time and a ball balancer to stabilize the load, enabling spin speeds of up to 1,100 RPM. The higher spin speed means water gets extracted more easily, which equates to less drying time, energy consumption, and noise.
Meanwhile, the WasherDryer lineup’s Sensor Dry feature uses sensor data to adjust drying time based on moisture-level detection to help reduce over-drying; for delicate fabrics, Wet Cleaning with MotionCare provides a gentle wash followed by a low-temperature drying cycle using controlled drum movements.

For commercial operators, the units include a Front Service Ready design that provides access to key components for servicing – features like Heat Exchanger Cleaning Assist automatically rinses the heat exchanger after each cycle, while the Tub Clean cycle has been verified by Intertek to reduce 99.9999% of bacteria in the washer drum under specified test conditions. Users can interact with the machines through a seven-inch ProGuide Control circular LCD touch display.
The LaundryCrew app allows remote monitoring of equipment status, operational data, and machine settings, and supports software updates and system management. LG’s Open API can also be integrated with existing business systems through a separate development process, allowing customers to build platforms tailored to their operations.
LG has expanded its commercial laundry presence through supply partnerships with service providers in North America and localised business models in Asia, including the Laundry Crew franchise operation in Thailand. Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, said the new lineup is designed to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness for commercial laundry operations by combining AI-powered technologies with support services for B2B partners.
