Logitech’s esports headset sequel has arrived: the G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming headset is now available in Malaysia. “The core philosophy of the Logitech G PRO Series is about creating gear that meets the demanding needs of professional esports athletes and competitive gamers,” said Chris Pate, Principal Product Manager of Logitech G.

The new “PRO-G” 50mm uses graphene as the material to provide increase stiffness and reduce weight – and thus inertia – to produce more accurate sound with minimal distortion. With the updated model, it now comes with tri-mode connectivity options with 3.5mm, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless available to choose from. In terms of 2.4GHz wireless, it now delivers up to 50 hours of battery life and supports a maximum connection range of 30m. You still get the same 6mm cardioid microphone from the original G PRO X courtesy of Blue VO!CE, and it also supports DTS Headphone:X 2.0 for surround sound experiences.

Meanwhile, the chassis design features a combination of aluminum and steel frame, coupled with rotating hinge and swappable earpads in both leatherette and velour finish. The development of G PRO X 2 is attributed to the “Design by Collaboration” program which Logitech hired various top-level esports athletes to assist in product design and development.

The Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED comes in two colors – Black and White, and is now available on both official Shopee and Lazada stores with a suggested retail price of RM1,099.

Pokdepinion: It looks like the new design has increased the earpad thickness (going by the images at least), as I’ve heard stories of people pointing out the outgoing model was too shallow and may pressure the ears themselves.
