Signify Malaysia Introduces Latest Philips Ultra Efficient LEDs, Touts 60% Energy Savings
Signify Malaysia (formerly Philips Lighting) has officially launch its portfolio of sustainable lighting products featuring three lineups: Philips Ultra Efficient LED, Philips Solar Lighting and WiZ Smart Lighting.
First off, the Philips Ultra Efficient LED, which comes in multiple form factors including bulbs, light tubes and downlights is claimed to consume 60% less energy (at similar brightness levels) than standard LED sold in the market today. On top of that, the lifespan has also been greatly extended to 50,000 hours, or 3.5x more than standard.
Next, the Philips Solar Lighting range consists of solar flood lights, solar wall lights, solar garden/landscape lighting products and more – and they are designed to blend into outdoor environments while ensuring easy installation. These lights should perform its best on the evening hours, and power is supplied by solar energy meaning no energy bills involved.
There’s also the Meson Interlaced Optics LED that is designed with health in mind. This model contains “3D microstructure patterns” that reduces glare by 40%, which should help reduce eye discomfort when used as a lighting for extended work and study sessions. Finally, there’s the update on WiZ Smart Lighting lineup which introduces the new SpaceSense motion detection tech, using only Wi-Fi to detect presence without the need of dedicated sensors or its batteries.
“Our goal is to make these products accessible to all consumers in Malaysia. We will continue to introduce such thoughtful and impactful solutions that build on our sustainable offerings and help us in our mission of Brighter Lives and a Better World.” said Mr. Sukanto Aich, CEO of Signify Malaysia. All products will be available at Philips authorized retailers and online platforms, Lazada and Shopee.
