Celestica Expands Local Workforce To Support AI Infrastructure Demand

Celestica has operated in Malaysia since 1985 and currently runs nine facilities across Kedah, Penang, and Johor, spanning more than two million square feet of manufacturing, design, and global business services space. The company employs more than 6,000 people nationwide, supporting customers across sectors including hyperscalers, enterprise, communications, aerospace, industrial, healthtech, and capital equipment.

The company stated Malaysia plays an important role in its global operations and growth strategy, with continued investment aimed at expanding local capabilities as demand for AI infrastructure increases.

As part of its workforce development efforts, Celestica operates a two-year Management Trainee Program aimed at final-year university students and recent graduates. The program offers hands-on experience, professional development, and mentorship, and is designed to recruit graduates from universities across Malaysia into engineering, technical, and business roles.

Celestica Malaysia was recently certified by Great Place To Work, an organization focused on workplace culture and employee experience assessment. Beyond engineering positions, Celestica is also hiring for roles in finance, human resources, information technology, and supply chain.
