MATEDRIVE and MATEAUTO: HUAWEI’s getting serious about cars
This isn’t the first time the company has dabbled in a car-related activity. Back in 2018, HUAWEI demonstrated how the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro uses its AI capabilities to successfully drive a car.
According to sources, the company has seen increased activity in regards to car driving. Last July, HUAWEI began testing autonomous driving to achieve safe driving based on drivers’ behavioural data and environmental data. Furthermore, HUAWEI established Huawei Digital Communication Autonomous Driving Network Joint Laboratory just last year.
