TP-Link Malaysia has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with New Era University College (NEUC) in Kajang, aimed at developing industry-ready enterprise networking talent in Malaysia. The partnership seeks to connect academic learning with current industry requirements by incorporating enterprise networking capabilities, professional certification pathways and practical industry exposure into the student learning experience.
TP-Link To Deploy Its Networking Solutions Within NEUC
As part of the agreement, TP-Link will deploy its Omada enterprise networking solutions within the university’s learning environment, giving students hands-on access to infrastructure similar to real-world business networks. The collaboration will also include technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions, along with access to the Omada Certified Network Administrator (OCNA) certification pathway, allowing students to build industry-recognized networking competencies alongside their coursework.
Beyond classroom instruction, students under the partnership will have access to industrial training and internship opportunities with TP-Link Malaysia, offering practical exposure and a more defined route from university study into the technology workforce. Both parties will also “explore opportunities for further collaboration in research initiatives, technical knowledge exchange, and engagement between industry professionals and academic experts,” as stated in the press release.
The agreement with New Era University College builds on TP-Link Malaysia’s earlier efforts to expand industry-academia collaboration in enterprise networking education. The company has previously partnered with Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), introducing the OCNA certification pathway across these institutions. In 2025, around 500 students took part in the certification pathway across participating universities.
