As we are nearing CES 2025 (which begins next week), more and more information emerged which points to upcoming products set to be announced by each chipmakers. In this case, there are several listings of Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake-H laptop processors spotted on Geekbench database.

Arrow Lake-H Spotted

The three processors spotted are the Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, Core Ultra 7 255H, and the Core Ultra 7 285H. The CU5 225H is listed as 4+10 cores, though the 10 cores are split into 8 regular E-cores and 2 additional low-power E-cores, meaning the entire chip’s core configuration is 4P+8E+2LPE, 14 cores in total. As for the CU7 255H and CU9 258H, both shares the same core count (6P+8E+2LPE), though the latter has a higher 45W TDP as opposed to standard 28W for the rest of the alleged lineup thus far.

These chips will share the same architecture as the desktop Arrow Lake-S processors, meaning they should get vastly improved efficiency; though the eventual performance will be a bit of a question mark, as initial reviews for the desktop lineup found there are several cases of performance regressions. The chipmaker has identified the issues and is delivering the final fix next month, however.

Based on our findings, the highest-performing Meteor Lake-powered processor, the Core Ultra 9 185H, has slightly lower scores than what is shown here for the Core Ultra 5 225H – though with power figures unknown, it’s hard to deduce what are the true performance of this chip. Still, we could be looking at a decent uplift in performance on paper, though we’ll have to test the real deal to find out if these numbers hold water.
