While we’re supposedly days away from the official reveal of Intel’s Panther Lake architecture, information relating to this generation of processors have been leaking like a loose water tap in the last few days, to say the least. Members in the Chiphell forum have listed a total of twelve upcoming models with core configurations to match.
Intel Panther Lake In Full?
According to the screenshot above, the alleged “Core Ultra X” naming may turn out to be slightly inaccurate. This source claims that Intel will instead prepend the letter X before the model numbers instead of segment numbers, meaning names like Core Ultra 9 X388H, Core Ultra 7 X358H, and so on. Besides those, there are additional lineups revealed under the regular H-series and low-power U-series, intended for high-performance laptops and ultrathin laptops, respectively.
The key features of each lineup differs: the X-series primarily features powerful onboard graphics for premium ultrathin laptops, with a total of 16 cores (4 P-cores + 8 E-cores + 4 LPE-cores) available; core counts are identical across the lineup in the H-series, short for the neutered onboard graphics to make way for more powerful discrete GPUs, which you can find in gaming, creator or workstation laptops. Finally, the U-series does away with E-cores altogether, though LPE-cores remain.
That being said, leaker Golden Pig Upgrade has pointed out earlier that October 9’s announcement will most likely cover the architecture itself, whereas model announcements and subsequent laptop launch will have to wait until CES 2026 at earliest. Hence, it’s worth applying some level of salt with regards to this piece of information for now.
