Sonic Creator Yuji Naka Arrested Again, And It’s Worse This Time
As if the situation wasn’t bad enough already, Sonic creator Yuji Naka has been arrested yet again, and it might just be worse this time around.
Yuji Naka Arrested Again
According to Japanese news site Asahi, Sonic creator Yuji Naka has been arrested again. Once again, it is said to be related to insider trading, and it could be worse than the previous one.
According to the report, Yuji Naka has put in a sizable investment into ATeam, the studio that is also working on mobile battle royale game Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, prior to the game’s launch. To be precise, it was said to be roughly USD $834,000 worth of shares.
Previously, he was arrested for purchasing USD $20,000 worth of shares of a company that was developing Dragon Quest Tact, as we reported here. Since the newest offense is of a significantly higher amount, the punishment (if found guilty) is expected to be much worse.
We will update you on this as the situation continues to develop so stay tuned.
Pokdepinion: It’s interesting to see how bad the situation has gotten since he left Square Enix. Not going to jump to conclusions just yet so I’m going to keep an eye on this.
