BOE Demonstrates World’s First 600Hz Laptop Display

The Chinese display maker has dropped a surprise in this year’s World Display Industry Conference event.

Early this year BOE has announced it has developed a 27-inch display panel capable of 500Hz refresh rate, and now the numbers has been pushed up into 600Hz in the form of a laptop display. Currently, the fastest laptop display available on the market is the Alienware x17 R2, pushing 480Hz in a 17-inch 1080p panel.

That is set to change – the footage from official video has glanced over what looked like a ROG Flow X16 chassis that is now powering BOE’s 600Hz panel (for reference – ROG Flow X16 uses a 16-inch 16:10 display panel). Other than that, no other information is presented.

The company also demonstrated foldable OLEDs and Mini-LED displays in various form factors during the event.
