Sony Updates HT-A7000 & HT-A5000 Soundbars with 360 Spatial Sound Mapping
A new software update is arriving to HT-A7000 and HT-A5000 soundbars which will enable 360 Spatial Sound Mapping, first premiered in HT-A9 soundbar last year.
As a refresher – the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping utilizes Sound Field Optimization technology, which uses inbuilt microphones to measure relative position of the speakers from the room; which will then be compensated virtually to provide accurate positional audio.
This feature will be available when the soundbar is paired with SA-RS5 or SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers; furthermore, compatible BRAVIA XR TVs will provide center audio channel through the Acoustic Center Sync feature, as part of the 360 Spatial Audio Mapping setup.
Sony also adds that HT-A5000 soundbar will be available in Malaysia starting 12 December 2022.
