ASUS has announced the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG gaming monitor featuring the latest 4th generation QD-OLED panel – this new model is positioned below the flagship ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM for those looking for most of the OLED goodies without going too ham on the price (that said, it’s still a top-tier monitor that’ll cost quite a bit).

ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG

The XG27UCDMG’s 4K OLED panel features a pixel density of 166 pixels per inch (PPI) in a 27-inch display area, so you get sharp visuals and clear text, along with infinite contrast offered by self-emissive lighting OLED provides. You also get 240Hz refresh rate which also benefits from OLED’s near-instantaneous pixel response time (in this case 0.03ms) for sharper motion.

For burn-in protection, ASUS’s OLED Care Pro technology includes a Neo Proximity Sensor that detects user presence, switching the screen to a black image when the user steps away (firmware updates of this feature for both the Swift OLED PG27UCDM and Strix OLED XG27UCDMG will be available in April this year.) The monitor also integrates ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0, which reduces onscreen flicker by 20% compared to previous-generation panels.

The XG27UCDMG’s connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4 featuring Display Stream Compression (DSC), HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90W Power Delivery support for single-cable connection to laptops. Besides that, the monitor also includes a ¼-inch tripod socket for streaming setups, plus a monitor stand with a compact footprint and built-in phone holder.

ASUS Malaysia says the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG will be available locally at the end of June 2025, with pricing yet to be announced at this time.
