ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM Ultrawide Monitor Announced
First previewed on Gamescom 2023, the ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM is set to launch in Q1 2024 – now, ASUS has announced availability for the new ultrawide gaming monitor.
The PG34WCDM has a 34-inch ultrawide curved OLED panel with an 800R curvature rating, sporting 3440 x 1440 (ultrawide QHD) resolution, 99% DCI-P3, and a refresh rate of 240Hz, while response time stays at a near-instant 0.03ms figure. The 3rd generation ROG OLED technology represents a 30% increase in brightness, which is also DisplayHDR True Black 400 compliant. To reduce the risk of panel burn-in, ASUS employed a new custom heatsink design and improved airflow to reduce the panel temperature.
There’s plenty of technology packed in here to make sure you get the best out of your game (and not blame it when you do lose): to name a few, there’s Clear Pixel Edge algorithm, ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur), and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro (NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible) support. For productivity, the Smart KVM feature allows users to control two devices with a single keyboard-and-mouse combo, plus onboard USB 3.2 ports Gen 1 (5 Gbps) ports for file transfers. Connectivity-wise, you get DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, as well as USB-C with 90W power delivery support for laptops.
ASUS has yet to provide any pricing information at this writing – but expect announcements in the near future.
