AMD’s Navi 32 Chip Was Spotted In A Small Corner Of Recently-Published Video

If you have been paying attention, AMD’s RDNA3 GPU release so far has left a big gap in between the Navi 31-powered RX 7900 series and the Navi 33-powered RX 7600. Navi 32 supposedly sits in the middle – but the company has not officially mentioned the existence of this die up until this point. Still, a video from Forbes apparently has shown a bare Navi 32 die in a B-roll shot of various AMD chiplets, as spotted by Hoang Anh Phu.
As AMD made no announcements on the Navi 32 chip whatsoever, it took nearly two weeks for someone to discover the existence of the die in this video which was published back in May 31, 2023. In the image above we see various chiplets, including EPYC Bergamo (outermost, cut off), EPYC Genoa, two AM5 CPUs and a single AM4 CPU with slightly different designs. On the bottom right is the Navi 32 chip that features four MCD (memory chiplet dies) around the GCD (graphics chiplet die).
Videocardz made measurements and came up with around 200mm² for the GCD, and 350mm² if all four MCDs’ die area are counted together. The chip reportedly will feature 60 CUs, 3840 SPs, 256-bit memory bus (which should correlate to 16GB of VRAM), and likely will be powering RX 7800 or RX 7700 should both models eventually arrive.
You can see the chiplet for yourself with the video below (jump to 1:30):

Pokdepinion: An interesting point to note – Bergamo wasn’t officially announced until last night at this writing (in AMD’s keynote) – which AMD didn’t opt to cover it under embargoes in this clip apparently.
