Acer Unveils AIB Designs For AMD Radeon GPUs

Acer is introducing its latest AMD Radeon-powered lineup under its Nitro and Predator BiFrost designs. The launch consists of three GPUs – the Radeon RX 7800 XT, RX 7700 XT, and the recently-announced RX 7600 XT.

Unlike the previous blower-plus-axial BiFrost designs, the Predator BiFrost RX 7800 XT OC adopts a more conventional triple-axial fan layout to cool the silicon capable of drawing 263W of power. Acer gives it a pretty solid overclock, with the game clock now rated up to 2254MHz (over 2124MHz stock) and the boost clock now 2565MHz (over 2430MHz). It measures 281.9 x 117.9 x 61.4 mm, making it a triple-slot card – though the card length is among the shortest we can find so far, so it should be very easy to fit within most PC cases.

Acer has also introduced the Nitro OC line of AIB designs, which includes all three Radeon models aforementioned. The RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT variants in particular shares the same chassis dimensions (given their specs are not far apart, power-wise), and the RX 7800 XT in particular shares the same amounts of factory overclock as the BiFrost card. Meanwhile, the RX 7700 XT saw a +105MHz bump in the game clock, whereas the boost clock gets a modest +55MHz overclock. Both cards measure 279 x 129.62 x 50.42 mm.

Finally, the Nitro RX 7600 XT OC card also comes pre-overclocked, with +69MHz game clock and +55MHz boost clock out-of-the-box. The card measures 268 x 111.2 x 40.1 mm, the thickness of which is pretty much considered a 2-slot card, though intriguingly Acer listed this as a 2.5-slot card instead.

In terms of pricing, the BiFrost RX 7800 XT OC will cost $549.99, while the Nitro RX 7800 XT OC and Nitro RX 770o XT OC is priced at $509.99 and $459.99 respectively. No pricing has been announced for the Nitro RX 7600 XT OC, though the company says it’ll be available starting this February.

Pokdepinion: Considering the BiFrost comes with three fans, 282mm is very short.
