EEC Filing Reveals GIGABYTE’s Listing Of AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT, Albeit With 16GB VRAM
Another finding in GIGABYTE’s not-so-secret stash of information (there’s one involving NVIDIA GPUs): the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) database has now revealed a new entry courtesy of the Taiwanese AIB vendor. However, it is a rather interesting one. Contrary to the earlier entries – the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT is listed with a whopping 16GB of VRAM.
The listing finds two entries as follows:
- GV-R76XTGAMING OC-16GD (Radeon RX 7600 XT GAMING OC 16GB)
- GV-R76XTGAMING-16GD (Radeon RX 7600 XT GAMING 16GB)
This of course goes against the earlier listings which labeled the same silicon running on 12GB and 10GB of VRAM, which also meant that the silicon is potentially running on three types of memory bus (192-bit for 12GB, 160-bit for 10GB and presumed 128-bit for 16GB).
Keep in mind there is a precedent to mid-range GPUs that come with 16GB VRAM: the NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti is one such example, using a 128-bit memory bus. AMD may opt to compete with Team Green on the VRAM fronts, but there seems to be at least two ways around it – either by offering significantly bigger VRAM with the same bandwidth, or slightly bigger VRAM (over RTX 4060) while also offering higher memory bandwidth.
Of course, as this GPU is still yet to be announced, things may change. It’s worth noting the listing for 10/12GB variants (originated from PowerColor) dates back to September 2023, so it’s not unreasonable to say that AMD may have changed its plans to stick with the 16GB variant instead. In any case, recent rumors allege that the RX 7600 XT may officially debut sometime in late January.

Pokdepinion: This is definitely a response to the 4060 Ti 16GB, which – funnily enough – is itself a response to market demands earlier on.
