AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT Rumored To Launch In January, AIB Variants Only
Just yesterday, entries of various unannounced AMD Radeon GPUs were found in the EEC database – and it turns out at least one of them, the RX 7600 XT, is allegedly launching very soon. According to Benchlife.info, its source claims the card is expected to launch in week 4 of January 2024 (22-28 Jan).
At the same time, the source has clarified that both RX 7700 and RX 7800 non-XT variants are currently not on AMD’s current plans. In other words, it is expected to launch just one new SKU in the first half of 2024 (not counting region-specific GRE models). It’s also possible that Team Red may introduce RDNA4-based GPUs on PCIe 5.0 standard, but a launch in 2025 could happen if “something goes wrong.”
The outlet has also confirmed that there will not be a first-party, MBA (Made by AMD) card available for this model. Much like the RX 7700 XT, this will be the second model in the RDNA3 family to be AIB-exclusive.
Despite being just one month away from the purported launch date, much of the specs of this new GPU remain unknown. Earlier leaks only mentioned its VRAM, which may be 10GB to 12GB – the bus width will vary depending on the VRAM capacity, which could be either 160-bit or 192-bit respectively. It’s also rumored that it may be using a heavily cut-down Navi 32 silicon, unlike the Navi 33 silicon used for the vanilla RX 7600 model.
