It is already known and AMD will no longer be releasing new GPUs under its RDNA 3 lineup, which currently consists of seven models in total: RX 7900 XTX, RX 7900 XT, RX 7900 GRE, RX 7800 XT, RX 7700 XT, RX 7600 XT, and RX 7600. However, PSU manufacturer Seasonic has (perhaps by accident) revealed five unreleased models, including one seemingly paying homage to a legendary Team Red GPU released over 10 years ago.
Seasonic Spilled The Beans
Seasonic’s online Wattage Calculator is a neat little tool for novices to figure out what works best for the parts they use, accounting for power usage from CPUs, GPUs, and all the parts that need them. To do that, it makes a database of known parts with their corresponding TDPs, and this is where several RDNA3 GPUs were found that were not previously known. They are:
- Radeon RX 7990 XTX
- Radeon RX 7950 XTX
- Radeon RX 7950 XT
- Radeon RX 7700
- Radeon RX 7500 XT
Given that the existing RX 7900 XTX already maxed out the specs from the top RDNA3 chip, Navi 31, it’s very unlikely that all three models numbered above it will see much improvements in terms of specs should they exist. It’s likely that these models are originally planned with much bigger chips in mind, given AMD’s first foray into multi-chiplet GPU design. However, the design has seen limited success, which may have prompted AMD to scale back its lineup. Notably, the chipmaker has reportedly opted to stay low for the upcoming generation, skipping flagship segment altogether.
Moreover, RDNA3 is already late into its generation lifecycle, with RDNA4 likely launching by the end of this year, or early next year. New products rarely gets released this late into the lifecycle, though going by this logic, one may not necessarily rule out of the existence of RX 7700 or RX 7500 XT with further cut-down versions of Navi 32 and Navi 33 silicon respectively.

Pokdepinion: It’s indeed a bit of shame that RDNA3 didn’t turned out exactly what it could’ve been – a RTX 4090-rivaling performance as the homage to the HD 7990 would’ve been a big marketing win for Team Red otherwise.
