Hong Kong-based Minix has announced the launch of its latest Mini PCs, the Elite EU512-AI and Elite EU715-AI. Both features Intel 12th Gen (Alder Lake) processors with Windows 11 Pro operating system pre-installed.
Minix Mini PCs
According to its press release, the Elite EU512-AI is equipped with an Intel Core i5 12th Gen processor coupled with 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The device is said to feature “embedded AI processing,” though nothing specific is said since the hardware we’ve listed so far technically predates the NPU era. You do get Wi-Fi 6, dual LAN, dual USB-C (we can’t tell if it’s Thunderbolt-capable), and various display outputs all housed in a 160 x 160 x 61mm chassis.
The Elite EU715-AI is a step-up option with an Intel Core i7 12th Gen processor and 32GB DDR4 RAM, plus a 1TB NVMe SSD for storage. It supports triple-display setups with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort (we assume Thunderbolt will be responsible for the third monitor), with the chassis measuring slightly larger at 180 x 180 x 66mm. The AI capabilities is described as “AI-enhanced performance that adjusts the system’s behavior based on user preferences, optimizing speed and efficiency automatically” – I’d argue the definition of ‘AI’ is stretched a fair bit here.
Both products are not currently listed on the Minix website, so there’s nothing on pricing and availability just yet.
