Chinese Case Manufacturer aigo Enters GPU & Motherboard Business: Report

You most likely has seen the brand ‘aigo’ in some budget PC cases here in Malaysia – though the company has made various other electronic products such as SSDs, USB drives and even TWS earbuds which are sold exclusively in China. Reports from Board Channels has claimed that the company is intending to enter the motherboard and GPU business.

The forum post claimed that aigo has already selected the partner to product the aforementioned products on their behalf. It reads:

A well-known brand has already negotiated internally and plans to produce board products. It may not be long before the board products will be officially launched.

According to internal information, aigo, a well-known domestic brand, plans to enter board products. A company has officially won the brand authorization of aigo, and it is expected to release motherboards and graphics cards in the following months.

What this means is essentially, the GPUs and motherboards branded with aigo might not necessarily be produced by themselves; instead, a third-party supplier provides the manufacturing and thus will be marketed as such.

That being said, it’s unlikely that it will expand its presence outside of China, and it is common to see various companies releasing Chinese-exclusive models from companies aboard, let alone China’s domestic brands.

Pokdepinion: Salt as needed, though it doesn’t hurt to see what’s in their cards (pun not intended).
