GIGABYTE officially launched the AORUS P1600W 80+ Titanium Modular PCIe 5.1 AI TOP power supply (that’s a mouthful) following its initial unveiling at COMPUTEX 2026. Per the company’s announcement, the power supply is designed for enthusiast PC builds and local AI systems, delivering 1600W of output with 80 PLUS Titanium-rated efficiency in a 160mm chassis. It is compliant with the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards.

Usually PSUs of this wattage come pretty bulky, but in this case GIGABYTE managed to cram all that into a chassis just 160mm long, which allows the unit to fit into a wider range of standard ATX cases while leaving more room for cable management. The reason has to be credited to Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, which has seen widespread use in smartphone chargers thanks to their superior power (and space) efficiency over conventional silicon-based equivalents.
More importantly, the AORUS P1600W is loaded with headers behind, which has two 12V-2×6 connectors plus nine PCIe/EPS 8-pin connectors, four of which can be assigned to another two GPUs for quad-GPU setups (each consuming 300W). To that end, the company understands that you’ll use so much power that the bills will be significant, so there’s an onboard display to show you real-time power draw as well as accumulated figures for when you need to calculate how much it costs to train those huge AI models.
The PSU’s cooling is handled by a 140mm double ball-bearing fan ramps up speed accordingly based on temperatures; to save the maintenance hassle, it also includes a dust-removal function that reverses airflow direction at startup or on-demand through software. No pricing has been announced at this time, but don’t expect this to be a cheap unit.
