Acer’s gaming sub-brand Predator is reportedly releasing a new special version of its Hera DDR5 RAM, and not only it gets faster memory speeds than standard kits, it also comes with actual gold finish for that added bit of extravagance.

Predator Hera DDR5 Special Edition

Per ITHome (via Videocardz), the Predator Hera DDR5 Special Edition is a CUDIMM kit designed in collaboration with OC LAB to push the maximum clock speed to 9,466MT/s (timings CL48-57-57-134), though a less aggressive XMP profile with 9,200MT/s (timings CL46-56-56-134) is also available. Internally, this module is reportedly pushing upwards of 10,270MT/s with air-cooled, dual-channel configuration. Internally, the module uses SK Hynix memory packages, and comes with 24GB modules only.

On the outside, the design is identical to the standard Hera DDR5 modules – what’s changed is the materials. The module’s heatsink uses 24K gold plating to produce the mirror finish, coupled with the standard RGB light strip on top that is perhaps best used to display gold colors.

ITHome reports that this model will enter the market very soon, but it’s unclear if this may be for Chinese markets at first, with global markets to follow at a later point. In any case, it certainly won’t be cheap to buy actual gold, right?
