GIGABYTE’s Intel Motherboards Becomes The Next To Support 192GB Capacity

Following the first announcement from MSI – GIGABYTE becomes the second OEM to do so.

GIGABYTE's Intel Motherboards Becomes The Next To Support 192GB Capacity

GIGABYTE has announced that its Intel 600 and 700 series motherboards – both of which supports DDR5 – will immediately support the newest 24GB and 48GB DDR5 modules, with no BIOS updates required. That in turns allows systems to support up to 192GB of DDR5 in total (96GB for dual-slot systems), and the manufacturer says its motherboards can even support overclocked RAM speeds of up to DDR5-7000 on 2x24GB configuration.

This announcement follows the one from MSI last week which also have its 600 and 700 series Intel motherboards having 192GB support – expect other OEMs to follow with their announcements as well.

Pokdepinion: Oddly enough it’s been a week and only two OEMs has so far announced 192GB support. Perhaps we need to wait until testing is done on their part?
