Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD

The Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD 512GB is packaged in a blister pack that’s familiar to anyone who’s bought an microSD card before. On the front of the package you will see the Kingston brand and the storage specs of the Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD 512GB. In it you’ll find the MicroSD itself and a bundled microSD to SD adapter. Would have liked for it to come with a small case to store the cards but that’s just me.

Now on to some real world tests. The Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD 512GB performed pretty well across the board with average times of less than five minutes. As a microSD card, you would probably be transferring pictures and movies in and out of the drive, and we can see that it performs impeccably at the task.

Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD 512GB Review - You get what you pay for 28

In terms of the Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD 512GB’s value for money metric, it on the higher side of things, as you can see from the chart above. I have to note that this is a microSD card so it’s much smaller and is compatible with a lot more devices that won’t support the other devices in the chart above. This comparison is more for those who want to consider getting it as an external drive rather than using it with a camera etc.

Another thing of note is that we did all our of testing using the new MobileLite Plus microSD reader which Kingston says has been designed for optimal performance with the Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD.

I have to say I am quite impressed with the the Kingston Canvas Go Plus MicroSD 512GB. It performs just as it says on the tin with no stutters or setbacks whatsoever. Strangely enough the card carries two different price tags; RM 568 on Kingston’s Shopee store and RM 619 on their Lazada store.

    Hey, Syed,

Thanks for the review. I just bought one — largely based on your review in fact.👍🏼

One thing, just FYI ᎓ I paid a lot less than the prices you mentioned. “RM” is Malaysian ringgit, is it not? I’m in Canada (Montreal) and paid $49.99 in Canadian dollars — it was on special down from $69.99, which is the regular price. I checked and right now the currency conversion factor is 1 Canadian dollar = 3.55 ringgit, which means the sale price of $49.99 I paid works out to ≈ 177 RM and the regular price of $69.99 works out to ≈ 248 RM, so even the regular price works out to much, much cheaper than the prices you mentioned!

And I can confirm both that this is a reliable store, and that the card I bought is a legitimate Kingston, not a counterfeit, so it’s not that.

That’s not how pricing works, especially with brands that have a global presence. They have standardized pricing across different regions so it will not be the same as directly converting currencies regardless of there being a discount for it or not. Hope that helps.
