Memory and storage products maker Kingston announced today that it has been recognized by TrendForce as the top third-party SSD supplier in the channel market for the seventh consecutive year, securing 34% of all SSD units shipped in 2023, followed the second-place supplier holding only 11% market share.

Kingston Continues Shipment Leadership

In 2023, the global retail SSD market saw shipments reach 118 million units, reflecting a 3.7% year-over-year increase. The demand for SSDs exceeding 2TB grew as SSD continues to mature into higher capacities, while market growth was also influenced by a wave of PCs purchased during the pandemic now entering typical replacement cycles, according to the company.

During the year, Kingston introduced several new products to its SSD lineup, including the DC600M Enterprise SSD for mixed-use workloads, designed with Quality of Service (QoS) to fulfill the datacenter’s needs. The company also launched the XS1000 External SSD alongside its existing XS2000 model to further expand its portable storage lineup.

To celebrate this milestone, Kingston will offer discounts of up to 20% and exclusive vouchers on its official stores on Shopee and Lazada, as well as at authorized partner stores, from November 8 to 17. Customers purchasing Kingston products during the promotion period will also have the chance to win prizes, including a 55-inch Smart TV or an RM300 Aeon Gift Voucher daily.

Pokdepinion: The dominance is likely to continue for years to come given the sheer gap in market share thus far.
