The Samsung PM9E1 is engineered with a 5nm-based controller and the company’s 8th-generation V-NAND technology, ensuring powerful performance paired with excellent power efficiency. Samsung claims the new SSD will be particularly effective for on-device AI PCs, providing high-speed storage that can easily handle data-heavy AI applications.

With 14.5 GB/s reading speed and 13 GB/s writing speed, the PM9E1 is set to be a game-changer for users running AI-based tasks, content creation, and other data-intensive operations.

Samsung will offer the PM9E1 SSD in a range of storage capacities, including 512GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB, catering to various user needs. The SSD is also equipped with advanced security protocols like Secure Channel, Device Authentication, and Firmware Tampering Attestation to prevent potential supply chain attacks during production or distribution, ensuring data integrity at all times.
