Synology RackStation RS2421+ and RS2421RP+ announced with up to 161% faster performance!
Synology has just announced the latest RackStation RS2421+ and the redundant-power version, aptly named the RackStation RS2421RP+. Compared to their predecessors, the new RackStation RS2421+ and RS2421RP+ promise 103% higher random write IOPS, 161% higher random read IOPS, 26% higher sequential read and 63% faster sequential write speeds.
Both the new RackStations can be equipped with a Synology 10GbE or 25GbE NIC for faster networking, or a Synology SNV3400/3500 NVMe SSD cache with an M.2 adapter card to accelerate random read/write performance without occupying standard drive bays.
You can also expand the memory with up to 32GB of ECC DDR4 memory and double the drive bays with the RX1217(RP) expansion unit for a total of 24 bays. All of them can be covered by Synology’s 3-year limited warranty that can be extended to a 5-year warranty in select regions.
Synology NAS devices are backed by the DiskStation Manager operating system. There’s support for features like Hyper Backup to back up your NAS, while the Active Backup Suite offers options to backup your Windows clients, servers, file servers and virtual machines. There are also various other features that allow for collaboration between remote workers like Synology Drive, Chat and Office.
The Synology RackStation RS2421+ and RS2421RP+ is available from Synology resellers starting today.
