Lenovo announced an expansion of its Lenovo Security Services portfolio, introducing a revised cyber resiliency framework and end-to-end security offerings. These are designed to provide a single point of accountability for security incidents, with the company stating the approach can reduce system downtime by up to 50% and lower remediation costs by up to 40%.
New Lenovo Security Services Offerings
According to research cited by Lenovo, 90% of IT leaders acknowledge gaps in their ability to defend against AI-driven threats, with organizations facing challenges related to fragmented accountability and distributed security operations rather than a lack of security tools.
As part of the expansion, Lenovo is launching Security Services with Absolute, a managed resilience offering designed to help organizations maintain security controls across distributed workforces without increasing demands on internal IT teams. The service allows security controls to automatically recover when disrupted, and is supported by Lenovo’s global Security Operations Center, which operates continuously to monitor activity and assist with threat response.
Lenovo also introduced Lenovo ThinkShield TraceLock, designed to provide visibility and control over lost, stolen or disconnected devices that fall outside the reach of conventional endpoint security tools. The solution uses built-in cellular connectivity to allow IT teams to remotely locate, wake or wipe devices, including those that are powered off or disconnected from a network.
Lenovo said the solution is intended to support compliance and data protection efforts, particularly for organizations in regulated sectors such as healthcare, financial services, government and the public sector. ThinkShield TraceLock is available starting 1 July on select ThinkPad devices.
