Grab Malaysia Introduces GrabKitchen — Their First Ever Cloud Kitchen
The folks at Grab Malaysia has today announced their first cloud kitchen in the form of GrabKitchen, where it features 11 brands in one central location.
Grab Malaysia launches GrabKitchen
GrabKitchen was first introduced in Jakarta back in 2018, where it has expanded to 55 cloud kitchens throughout the Southeast Asia region. The one here in Malaysia is located at Hartamas where Sean Goh, the Managing Director of Grab Malaysia has said “Our regional experience with GrabKitchen makes us a suitable partner for F&B operators to expand their operations to address the growing evolution of the food industry and customers’ needs. Not only is the GrabKitchen concept a unique and cost-efficient model for F&B operators, but they will also have ready access to our merchant support tools, strong delivery network and wide customer base”.
They’ve said that GrabKitchen is a lower risk option for restaurants and brands to expand to new areas without extensive financial investment. With the new service, you can “mix and match” orders from 10 brands while paying for just one delivery fee.
Grab Malaysia has said that they plan on expanding their network of GrabKitchen in the country. The service is available from 10am to 10pm, with last orders to be placed by 9.20pm or you can also choose the self-pick up (zero delivery fee) option.
Pokdepinion: It’s definitely a good service should you want to purchase more than 1 brand/restaurant to be delivered. Hopefully they’ll have more branches in the country to make it convenient for everyone.
