Dato’ Mohd Rashid Mohamad, Group Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of RHB Banking Group, said the platform reflects the bank’s approach to supporting Malaysia’s digital economy through solutions addressing business needs around security and payment control. He said the platform’s bank ownership is intended to provide businesses with assurance regarding the security of funds and data, supported by RHB’s banking infrastructure and regulatory oversight.

RHB PAY currently supports card payments, FPX and DuitNow Pay through a single integration; additional payment methods, including e-wallets, QR payments, Direct Debit and Auto Debit, are planned for a second phase targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026. The platform is designed for mid-sized enterprises, commercial businesses, corporates and government-related institutions.

According to Bank Negara Malaysia, the country recorded 18.4 billion e-payment transactions in 2025, an increase of 25% from 14.7 billion transactions in 2024. RHB PAY integrates with PayNet’s payment infrastructure, including FPX and DuitNow Pay, to support business participation in this growth.

Pokdepinion: This might not be a big deal as far as consumers are concerned, but it should be a huge deal for businesses.
