U Mobile announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AiMall to accelerate the adoption and commercialization of 5G-powered Industry AI and automation solutions for enterprises, as part of U Mobile’s enterprise growth strategy.
U Mobile-AiMall Partnership Combines ULTRA5G & AI
The partnership combines U Mobile’s 5G network and ULTRA5G connectivity with AiMall’s industry AI and automation solutions, particularly Vision AI technology, which processes real-time visual feeds and images to generate analytics and insights.
The companies stated that enterprises across sectors including retail, manufacturing, security and surveillance could apply Vision AI to areas such as inventory management, safety hazard detection, predictive monitoring and quality assurance. As part of the collaboration, U Mobile and AiMall plan to conduct proof-of-concept projects with select customers, aimed at developing use cases tailored to specific industries and demonstrating the solution’s applications.
AiMall’s platform is built on its A³V Phygital AI Closed-Loop Execution Framework, which follows an Acquire, Analyse, Act and Verify cycle. The framework is designed to help enterprises convert real-time visual data into faster frontline decisions and actions, coordinating hybrid workforces comprising people, machines, robots, and vehicles across physical environments.
According to U Mobile’s Chief Business Officer How Lih Ren, accelerating enterprise digitalisation is a key priority for the telco, and the combination of ULTRA5G connectivity with Vision AI is aimed at helping enterprises improve efficiency, strengthen operational oversight, and unlock new growth opportunities. AiMall’s CEO Dr. Chris Yang highlighted that 5G is a critical enabler for bringing AI into real-world operations at scale.
Pokdepinion: Another MoU, another round of enterprise AI buzzwords, but at least this one ties 5G to something concrete enough to test in a warehouse rather than a PowerPoint slide.
