U Mobile’s Enterprise Innovation Platform (EIP) has expanded its collaboration with Cradle Fund to help Malaysian startups develop and validate 5G-Advanced (5G-A) and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for real-world business use.
The partnership brings together Cradle’s startup ecosystem and funding pathways with U Mobile EIP’s technical capabilities, sandbox environment and industry connections to give innovators greater access to the tools they need to advance their solutions.
U Mobile EIP & Cradle Collaboration

The collaboration gives startups the opportunity to explore solution development, assess technical feasibility and demonstrate potential applications to industry stakeholders. Access to sandbox capabilities and support is subject to relevant engagement and technical requirements, and funding or commercial outcomes are not guaranteed.
U Mobile’s EIP connects startups, enterprises, technology companies, academia and ecosystem partners to explore and validate 5G-A and AI solutions. Its EIP Hub provides a dedicated environment for eligible innovation activities, including technical testing and demonstrations.

Since September 2026, the collaboration has been active through a series of startup and ecosystem engagements. These include the Cradle Roadshow in Sarawak and the MYStartup Pre-Accelerator Demo Day, which was hosted at the EIP Hub on 28 October 2026. U Mobile also participated as Strategic 5G and Sandbox Partner at Cradle LIVE! Summit 2026, held on 4 and 5 November 2026 at The Arch Galeries, Kuala Lumpur.
At the summit, EIP showcased its innovation programs and 5G-A sandbox capabilities while engaging startups, innovators and industry stakeholders on opportunities to develop, test and demonstrate solutions.
Pokdepinion: Another MoU-shaped handshake in Malaysian tech, but at least this one comes with an actual sandbox to play in.
