CelcomDigi Berhad launched the CelcomDigi AI Experience Centre (AiX), an innovation hub designed to advance digital solutions across various sectors. Supported by global technology partners and local collaborators, AiX aims to drive rapid technological advancements and foster new digital start-ups and enterprises in Malaysia.
CelcomDigi AiX Opens The Doors
Inaugurated by Minister of Communications YB Fahmi Fadzil, AiX “provides an immersive experience combining sight, sound, and touch, and features real-world solutions ready for immediate deployment,” the telecommunications company wrote in its press release. The facility is powered by over 40 global technology leaders and local partners, including Huawei, ZTE, AWS, Digital Nasional Berhad, Microsoft, and more.
CelcomDigi CEO Datuk Idham Nawawi adds: “The AI Experience Centre is a realisation of the national benefit of the merger, where CelcomDigi’s scale and capabilities are able to attract and partner global and regional digital tech giants to accelerate the development of cutting-edge digital solutions – positioning us a strong ally to the nation’s digital aspirations.”
Located at CelcomDigi Hub in Subang Jaya’s Hi-Tech Park, AiX features “The Infinity” and “The Gallery” – the Infinity provides interactive digital society simulations, while The Gallery showcases real-world industrial use-cases. These spaces display 5G and AI-powered technologies across eight verticals: manufacturing, logistics, energy, fleet, port, healthcare, education, and agritech (agricultural technology). Thirteen of the 45 solutions are live use cases piloted in Malaysia, the company said.
AiX also introduces AI-RA, an AI digital human co-hosting immersive tours, and autonomous robots demonstrating AI and robotics applications. Additionally, AiX offers a collaborative space for startups, enterprises, academia, and government to co-create and test new 5G solutions with various emerging technologies. CelcomDigi says the AiX will be open to visitors “on a scheduled basis.”
