Instagram Experimenting “My Week” Feature That Lets Stories Stay Up For 7 Days
Leaker Alessandro Paluzzi has recently posted on X (Twitter) showcasing a hidden feature that currently undergoes testing on Instagram: it’s called “My Week”, and based on the screenshot provided in the post, it may allow users to post stories that stay up for one week instead of one day.
#Instagram is working on “My Week”: show your stories for 7 days 👀
⭐ Keeps stories shared over the last 7 days
⭐ You can remove any story

While functionally similar, My Week will have some minor differences compared to the standard Stories or the Story Highlights feature. Aside from the 7-day uptime, this feature will provide greater flexibility for users to add and remove any story post along the way – without sending alerts to followers (it’s unclear if this simply means notifications won’t be sent or there will be no indicators whatsoever, however).
In a sense, this is the middle ground between the 24-hour Stories and the permanent Story Highlights feature – with longer uptimes than the regular Stories while maintaining the flexibility that Story Highlights provide for its users.
Pokdepinion: I imagine this is unlikely to change most people’s posting habits, but creators/influencers may take a shot at utilizing this feature.
